The Division of University Advancement engages alumni, friends, students, parents, faculty, staff and community members in championing support for the university’s mission. Coordinator, Special Events

The Coordinator, Special Events provides logistical support for high profile, signature events and is also responsible for managing production of small to medium-sized events targeting specific groups of donors, alumni and faculty/staff. Additional responsibilities include providing key support functions for the event staff, including on-site event support as needed, management of event-related technology needs, including multi-media/AV equipment and managing RSVPs and other guest inquiries. Events range from presidential visits to large donor or alumni events on campus and around the country. This position will report to the Director, Event Design and Management.

Gifts & Records Coordinator

The Gifts & Records Coordinator is responsible for recording and receipting the charitable contributions received by Miami University. They will serve as the lead gift processor in the Stewardship Department, which will require independent judgment related to the oversight of the daily operations of the University Advancement Gift Processing unit. The Gifts & Records Coordinator will ensure the quality, integrity and accuracy of all donor information.

Research Analyst

The Research Analyst is a member of the Office of Development within the Division of University Advancement, reporting directly to the Director of Prospect Development. The Prospect Development unit assists Miami University’s fundraising efforts by leading prospect research efforts, establishing and enforcing prospect management practices, overseeing performance management, and using analytics to help the University achieve its top priorities. The scope of prospect development tasks and duties is determined by the Assistant Vice President, Campaign Services, and the Senior Associate Vice President of University Advancement.

Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, Alumni Groups

The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, Alumni Groups, will work within a collaborative office environment and will be responsible for planning and implementing alumni engagement initiatives designed to foster lifelong connections between alumni and the university, with particular responsibilities for Miami’s affinity and reunion groups. This position reports to the Senior Director, Alumni Relations and works with the alumni groups team to frame the alumni experience for affinity groups and establish annual program priorities. The major components of this position are to manage groups on a day-to-day basis; produce inclusive alumni events, both on and off campus; provide support and guidance to a portfolio of assigned alumni groups.

The Director of Development, for the Farmer School of Business, will help advance the mission of Miami University by managing the efforts of the School in planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal involvement and financial commitment of donors and prospects to Miami University. This position will also be involved in developing new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with corporate and foundation partners.

The Assistant Director of Development, Annual Giving will advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal engagement and financial commitment of alumni and friends. Particular emphasis will be given to securing philanthropic and volunteer support for the university’s Annual Fund through mass marketing channels.
