Indoor Recreational Facilities

Clawson Fitness Center

This facility features a 4-station barbell rig a complete circuit of FreeMotion Strength equipment and a full set of dumbbells. Our cardio line-up boasts over 25 options, including treadmills, ellipticals, cross-trainers, rowers, bikes and ski ergometers. The facility also has a large multi-purpose/group fitness room to host classes or special reservations. Located in Clawson Hall, 440 Western College Drive.

Chestnut Field House

This facility is available for rent during the school year for Club Sports and any student organizations on campus. It will be closed this summer. Please contact the Recreational Sports Center at 513-529-8179 for booking information. We are located on Chestnut Street at the intersection of South Beech Street and Chestnut Street.

North Quad Fitness Center

Located on the north end of campus in the lower level of the Martin Dining Hall. We offer cardio equipment, free weights, and several strength training machines. This facility is open to all current Rec Center members.

North Quad Features and Equipment

• ~2,500 sq. ft.
• Drop in recreation and group fitness studio space
• Over 20 pieces of cardio equipment
• Complete line of Free Motion selectorized strength equipment
• Complete set of dumbbells, barbells and kettlebells
• Mat space for core exercise and stretching

Phillips Hall

These spaces are also available for rentals by university and community organizations. Recreational Sports provides staffing supervisions for recreational activities during specified recreation hours. Please contact the Recreational Sports Center at 513-529-6868 for booking information.

Sawyer Hall Gymnastics Facility

Sawyer Hall, located at 751 Western College Drive Oxford, OH 45056, is utilized for gymnastics programming and special reservations only. Two weeks' advanced notice is required to reserve the space. Access to the facility from Western Drive is off of US 27. Parking is located near Boyd Hall off of Western Drive near the Greenhouse.

Western Lodge

Western Lodge, located at 801 Western College Drive Oxford, OH 45056, is utilized for gatherings and special reservations only. Two weeks' advanced notice is required to reserve the space. Access to the facility from Western Drive is off of US 27. Parking is right in front of the lodge off of Western Drive.  The cabin is rustic, but has a small kitchen, various seating and a fireplace. To reserve please complete the Western Lodge Reservation Form.

WRA Cabin

The WRA Cabin is located at 5715 Oxford Milford Rd., Oxford, OH 45056. It can be reserved for group gatherings and has a small kitchen both a large furnished gathering room and an upstairs that has a loft looking over the great room. Two weeks' advanced notice is required to reserve the space. To reserve please complete the WRA Cabin Reservation Form.
