Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor (possible multiple positions)

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese is seeking applications for an Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor (possible multiple positions) to teach Spanish language, conversation, and composition courses.

Required: Master’s degree (for appointment as Instructor), Ph.D. (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor), by date of appointment, in Spanish, Spanish education or equivalent; experience teaching Spanish at the college level in a Spanish-related area; native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.  

Miami University will not sponsor for H1B work authorization for the 2017-18 year. 

Desired: Familiarity with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and performance descriptors, IPAs and communicative teaching methods.
