Graduate Spotlight

photo of Laura Sachs"As a newly graduated sustainability co-major, I believe one of the most important aspects of sustainability is sharing the information that you have learned with the public to make a difference. Courses such as the sustainability capstone, urban planning, and environment and sustainability (IES 274) have helped me understand sustainability with a broad, globalized perspective.

My career goal is to make the medical field a more sustainable place, so beginning this summer I'll be working in Eagan, Minnesota as an environmental sustainability intern at Blue Cross Blue Shield. This is a brand new position created to showcase sustainability methods through published articles, demonstrating the growing importance of this topic in today's job market. My sustainability co-major has prepared me well!"
