Froude Joins Miami in External Relations Role Supporting CCES, CAS

He returns to Oxford following 15 years at Northern Kentucky University

Miami University’s Center for Career Exploration and Success and College of Arts and Science are pleased to welcome Bill Froude as Associate Director of External Relations. Froude will build out employer relations for CAS students as part of the CAS Means Careers initiative.

Froude returns to campus from Northern Kentucky University, where he was the Director of Career Services from 2011-26. Prior to that, he was an Associate Director in career services at Miami for 11 years.

“I’m very excited to return to Miami and work jointly with CAS and CCES to deepen employer and alumni engagement with the College of Arts and Science,” he said. “As a Psychology major myself, I have always identified with CAS students, and I especially look forward to collaborating across campus to increase opportunities for them.”

“CAS students have tremendous career success over their lifetimes, but sometimes they need more support to find that first opportunity,” said Dean Renee Baernstein. “Bill Froude has the ideal experience to help our students connect their degree to their career.”

Froude’s expertise, which included overseeing NKU’s overall leadership and management of the department, includes career advising and programs, cooperative education, internships, and employer relations and recruitment.

Froude holds a Master of Science in Education degree from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Valparaiso University.
