Fall 2026 Writing Hours

The Howe Writing Center invites all Miami faculty and staff to join us this fall for our popular Faculty Writing Hours.

Join us 10-12 on Fridays (in-person in King Library or online via Zoom) to write and create a writing community with other Miami faculty and staff. We offer the time, space and accountability you need to help you achieve your long-term writing goals (plus donuts and coffee, if you’re coming in-person). You bring your writing-in-progress—whatever it is—and settle in to work.

These begin Friday, September 4 and run through Friday November 6th, excluding Fall break.

RSVP is required; you will be added to a Google calendar event that contains both the Zoom link and in-person location. 

Participants who attend at least 7 sessions will receive a writing-themed prize.
