Faculty Writing Hours

The Howe Writing Center invites all faculty to join us in Spring 2026 for our popular Faculty Writing Hours!

We are challenging Miami’s faculty to gather for six Fridays in-person at King Library or online via Zoom, to write and create a writing community with other faculty. 

We offer the time, space, and accountability you need to help you achieve your long-term writing goals (plus donuts and coffee, if you’re coming in-person). Bring your writing-in-progress, whatever it is, and settle in to work!

RSVP is required and you will be added to a Google calendar event that contains both the Zoom link and in-person location.

When: Fridays, February 6 - April 10 excluding Spring Break
Time: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Participants who attend at least 6 sessions will complete the challenge and receive a writing-themed prize.
