Miami earns spots on U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools ranking lists
Multiple Miami University programs were again part of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools rankings for 2025.
Miami earned spots on the Best Education Schools, Best Part-time MBA Programs, and Speech Language Pathology categories. The university rose six spots from its 2024 ranking on the Best Education Schools list, ranking No. 73 overall and No. 61 among public schools.
The rankings, released on April 8, are intended to help prospective students while exploring education options beyond their undergraduate degree. The Best Graduate Schools rankings include business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and leadership of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Amity Noltemeyer, dean of the College of Education, Health, and Science. “We remain committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that equips our graduates to become innovative leaders who shape the field of education.”
Miami is the No. 2 ranked school in Ohio for Best Education Schools. The university also is ranked No. 93 overall, No. 55 in public schools, and is a top five school in Ohio in the Best Part-time MBA Programs category. In Speech Language Pathology, Miami's Speech Pathology and Audiology program is ranked No. 74 overall. That category is one of the additional rankings calculated using only peer assessment scores.
U.S. News & World Report bases its Best Graduate School rankings on expert opinion about program excellence along with statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, students, and post-graduate outcomes.
“The 2025 Best Graduate rankings are more than numbers; they guide students to determine pathways that align with their goals,” LaMont Jones, senior editor of Education at U.S. News, said in a news release. “When students have substantial data and options, they can make informed decisions to generate transformative life opportunities. U.S. News rankings and data leads students to find the perfect program where they can flourish.”
