2026 Spring Career and Internship Fairs connect students to opportunities
Miami University will welcome nearly 200 employers to Oxford for its two 2026 Spring Career and Internship Fairs.
“Every student can benefit from attending a career fair,” said Geoff Falen, executive director of the Center for Career Exploration and Success. “Our employer partners represent a wide range of fields, including business, industry, government, and non-profit. They are eager to recruit for their full-time and internship roles, and I can’t wait to watch our talented students seize this opportunity.”
The All-Majors Career and Internship Fair is set for Feb. 24 from 1-5 p.m. in Millett Hall. Among the attending organizations are Butler County Children’s Services, the City of Cincinnati, the Florence Y’alls, Johnson & Johnson - Ethicon, Medpace, and Tata Consultancy Services.
The day before the All-Majors Fair, the Architecture + Design Career and Internship Fair will be held from 1-4 p.m. in the Shriver Center JDOL Rooms. In addition to architecture and construction firms, employers hiring in communication/graphic design, digital marketing, interior design, and user interface/experience design will participate in this Feb. 23 event.
“My advice is to go,” said Piper McGee ’25, who returned to Miami for the 2025 Fall Career and Internship Fairs as a recruiter for a company she connected with at the 2024 rendition. “My story shows how important it is to put yourself out there as much as you can, even with companies you may not know much about. Before going to the career fair, I hadn’t heard of Terillium because I wasn’t looking for jobs in the software/technology industry. Had I never stopped to speak with someone I recognized at their booth, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
The night of Feb. 24’s All-Majors Career Fair, a CAS Networking Night will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the Armstrong Student Center Pavilion. The employer partners, which include the Cincinnati Insurance Companies, Cintas, the City of Dayton, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, typically welcome majors and minors from throughout the College of Arts and Science to apply for their roles.
To help students get ready for these events, the Center for Career Exploration and Success will host a Career Fair Pop-Up Shop from Feb. 16-20 in 1078 Armstrong Student Center. Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. (3 p.m. Feb. 20), students can receive feedback on their resumes and elevator pitches, review networking and interviewing strategies, and learn how to research attending employers. Employer guests and Miami alumni will also be on hand throughout the week-long event.
In addition to hosting two career fairs, Miami has collaborated with area universities to participate in the Southwest Ohio/Northern Kentucky Education Fair. On March 31 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Xavier University’s Cintas Center, 100-plus school districts will engage with candidates for teaching, psychology, social work, and counseling positions. Attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive no later than 11 a.m. to sign up for afternoon interviews. Transportation will be provided through the College of Education, Health, and Society and the Center for Career Exploration and Success.
The Graduate Career Consortium Ph.D. and Master’s Virtual Career Expo on March 4 from noon-4 p.m. will offer graduate students, postdocs, and STEM, humanities, and social sciences alumni the opportunity to network with 200-plus organizations from across the globe.
Students looking to purchase professional attire ahead of the career fairs can take advantage of a promotion through Miami’s partnership with JCPenney. By texting SUITUP2 to 67292, Miami students, alumni, and faculty and staff can receive a coupon for $25 off a $100 purchase, in store or online.
The Center for Career Exploration and Success offers Miami students a range of programs and events, including networking opportunities with employers and alumni, professional development workshops, and career exploration activities.
