  • Commuting Students may park in the commuter lots at Millett and Chestnut without buying a daily commuter permit.
  • Visitors/faculty/staff who ordinarily buy daily red permits should park in one of Miami’s Parking garages, or within any surface lot parking space that is not marked as otherwise restricted.
  • Students who buy weekly permits for Millett Lot may park in the residential section of Millett lot without a permit.

Contractors and Vendors

Contractors

Contractors are required to park in the Fryman gravel parking lot on Bonham Rd. and be shuttled to and from their worksite.  No parking permit is required and no overnight (10 p.m. - 6 a.m.) parking is permitted in this lot.  Contractor shuttle vehicles left on campus require a parking permit, please contact your University project manager for approval to park overnight.

Contractors who require campus parking should contact their University project manager for approval to purchase a temporary parking permit. Temporary parking permits cost $10 per week or $35 per month.

Campus parking lots may not be used as construction material laydown areas or for storage. Contact your University project manager for instructions to arrange for laydown areas or storage.

Vendors

Vendors who work with Miami University on a time-and-materials basis or who supply services to Miami University on an ongoing (as opposed to contract) basis may be eligible to purchase an annual parking pass for a fee of $125.  Delivery vehicles DO NOT require a parking permit while making deliveries but must be parked legally.  Please contact the Purchasing and Central Services office for authorization to purchase annual permits.

Garage Vouchers

Departments and offices on campus may wish to order parking garage vouchers for their visitors' parking convenience. Visitors who park in the garage will pull a time-stamped ticket at the entry gate and re-insert it at the exit gate to calculate the cost for parking. A voucher serves as "payment" for the entire time used in the parking garage.

Parking garage vouchers are good for 1 exit each and cost $5 apiece.

You may submit your order online by completing this form.
