Special Registration

Most importantly take advantage of CMR Special Registration, which is the same period as your time ticket. CMR special registration was created to allow you the best chance of getting the courses you want and need.

Wait Lists

CMR recommends & supports the use of the wait list for CMR classes that are full

What is Waitlisting?

Waitlisting is a feature that allows students to "get in line" for a spot in a class that’s full. CMR also uses waitlist information to determine when additional sections of a class are needed.

Force Adds

In certain circumstances, students may be force added to classes.

Some circumstances are programmatic needs (major, minor, thematic) that specifically require a CMR course. Students graduating in that term receive top priority

The Commerce Department does not use time of submission as a factor for determining force add placement. Submitting your request earlier will not influence your ability to be seated in a course(s).

Force adding is centralized, instructors do not force add

To Request A Force add:

  1. Submit request
  2. Wait for the Commerce Department to answer your request
