Adam Rottinghaus, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication
Rottinghaus has a doctorate in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a critical, media, and cultural studies scholar who researches strategic communications and emerging technologies that blur business and consumer cultures. For more than 15 years, he has worked as a graphic designer and art director specializing in print, web, and multimedia production, as well as marketing strategy and brand management. Rottinghaus has published in the International Journal of Communication and the Journal of Cultural Economy. He is preparing a book manuscript that traces contemporary branding and business-to-business marketing through a cultural history of technological exhibitions.
