MJF students win 19 awards in SPJ Mark of Excellence
Miami University students today picked up a record 10 first-place and nine finalist awards for 2020 journalism work entered in the prestigious Mark of Excellence competition. A total of 22 Miami students won recognition. The awards – presented by the Society of Professional Journalists during a Saturday virtual conference – put Miami at No. 2 in SPJ’s Region 4 for 2020 MOEs.

CPB senior wins National Science Foundation award for future graduate research
Lexie Adams, a senior chemical engineering major, plans to attend Stanford University to continue studying chemical engineering. Her decision to attend Stanford comes just after finding out she is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program award winner.

Miami names Ande Durojaiye dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science at the Regionals
Ande Durojaiye has been named dean of Miami University Regionals, College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science (CLAAS). He will start July 1. Durojaiye is the interim provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Northern Kentucky University (NKU).
