Miami University Students

All applicants must have a minimum cumulative overall grade point average of 2.7 or above and have completed 12 semester hours of college credits (100 level or higher) at Miami including two of the required sciences (BIO 171, 172, MBI 161, CHM 131) with a minimum grade of "C" or better. Please note there are some Oxford courses that will substitute for the regional campuses courses.

GED Students

All applicants must have a minimum cumulative overall grade point average of 2.7 or above and have completed 12 semester hours of college credits (100 level or higher) including two of the required sciences (Bio 171, 172, MBI 161, CHM 131) with a minimum grade of "C" or better. Please note there are some Oxford courses that will substitute for the regional campuses courses.

Transfer Students

(Those students who have taken course work at another college or university and have fewer than 12 credit hours at Miami.)

All applicants must have a minimum cumulative overall grade point average of 2.7 or above and have completed 12 semester hours of college credits (100 level or higher) including two of the required sciences (BIO 171, 172, MBI 161, CHM 131) with a grade of "C" or better.

If accepted to the program, admission is contingent upon the completion of all four required sciences with a grade of "C" or better before fall semester.

Two grades below "C" in Nursing Program Requirements, either Required Major Courses and non-nursing courses found within the Nursing curriculum, even if courses are taken before admission and even if courses are repeated for a higher grade, will result in ineligibility or dismissal

Note: Official transcripts of all previous college credits must be submitted with your University application at least one month in advance of your nursing application. This due date of November 1 allows time for processing. If you are currently enrolled in Fall semester, in-progress transcripts must be submitted by November 1 and final transcripts are due on January 1.

Transferology is an online tool that can help you view course equivalencies to see how courses you have taken, or plan to take, transfer to Miami University.
