Campus Climate Incentive Program Official Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
  2. HOW TO ENTER: Beginning on January 25, 2023 at 12:00 PM EST through March 1, 2023 at 11:59 AM EST, eligible participants who complete the 2023 Campus Climate Survey will be provided a link to the Campus Climate Sweepstakes following the completion of the survey. Eligible participants should follow the on-screen entry instructions and fill in all required information. Completion of the survey is not required in order to enter the Campus Climate Sweepstakes, and all rules apply equally to eligible participants that do not complete the survey. Eligible participants may click on the following link to enter the Campus Climate Sweepstakes. You may only enter the sweepstakes once. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar entry method or entering more than once will void all entries and result in disqualification. You may not enter multiple times by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules.
  3. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all current Miami University students and employees with a valid Miami email address that are 18 years of age and older as of January 25, 2023, except for employees of Miami University's Office of Diversity and Inclusion ("Sponsor"), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Void where prohibited. Entrants will only be eligible to win prizes for drawings conducted after the entrant has entered the sweepstakes. Eligible entrants that enter the sweepstakes after February 8, 2023 at 12:01 PM EST shall only be eligible to participate in the drawing for the week that they entered.
  4. DRAWING: A random drawing will be conducted each week during the term of the sweepstakes on or about each Wednesday at 12:00 PM by Sponsor to select the winner[s] from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Potential winner[s] will be notified by email and must accept the prize in person at Sponsor's office within five (5) days after the date notice is sent or such other date set by Sponsor. Failure to respond within the applicable time period will result in forfeiture of prize and Sponsor shall have the option to award the prize to an alternate winner. The return of any prize notification or prize as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. All income taxes resulting from acceptance of prize are the responsibility of winner. By entering this sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. Acceptance of a prize also constitutes permission to Miami University to use winner's name, likeness, and biographical information for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law. All federal and state laws apply.
  5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering this sweepstakes, entrants waive all right to, and hold the Sponsor and Miami University and its trustees, officers, employees and agents harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Sponsor will not be responsible for: late, incomplete, or incorrect entries; an entrant's failure to receive prize notices due to entrant's spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for entrants' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this sweepstakes; by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes; or any typographical, technological, or other error in the publishing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes, or announcement of the prize[s]. If, in the Sponsor's opinion, there is such an error, or there is any suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of the sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties (including viruses and bugs) compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify this sweepstakes in a manner that it deems appropriate. In the event of termination, winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received as of date of termination. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning entrant, entries will be declared made by the name on the online entry form.
  6. PRIZE[S]: Five $200 gift cards; twenty $50 gift cards; fifty $25 gift cards; ten to twenty "Miami swag baskets"; ninety plastic water bottles ($1.08 each); five Miami sweaters ($45 each); five T6 wireless headphones ($20.99 each); fifteen light therapy lamps ($16.99 each); ten Miami tumblers ($16 each); five Miami coffee mugs ($15 each); five Myammia coffee mugs ($14 each); two Keurig K-Mini ($63.75 each); five Occiam wireless earbuds ($25.49 each); three IPX7 Wireless Speaker ($29.98); two Handheld Massager ($33.99 each); IPX6 Wireless Speaker ($23.99 each); one Smart TV ($169.99); two Miami blankets ($34.99 each); ten to fifteen large Miami Swag bags ($35.52 each); ten to fifteen small Miami Swag bags ($27.23 each); sixty to seventy OIDI Swag Bag #1 ($3.57 each); ten to fifteen OIDI Swag Bag #2 ($5.12 each); ten to fifteen OIDI Swag Bag #3 ($10.78 each). Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed. Limit one prize per entrant. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
  7. AWARDING PRIZE[S]: Five drawings will be conducted during the term of the sweepstakes with one drawing being conducted per week. Each prize will be awarded as follows:
    1. During the first drawing, eligible students and employees who enter may win up to one of fifty prizes, including: two $200 gift card, eight $50 gift cards, ten $25 gift cards, four light therapy lamps, six Miami Swag Bag #1, and twenty OIDI Swag Bag #1. The prizes will be allocated evenly between eligible students and employees. All participants for this week will be entered to win the one TV and one Miami Sweater.
    2. During the second drawing, eligible students and employees who enter may win up to one of forty-two prizes, including: two Keurig, two $200 gift card, six $50 gift card, ten $25 gift card, two Miami Blanket, two Miami Sweater, two IPX7 Wireless Speaker, four Miami Swag Bag #2, ten OIDI Swag Bag #2, and two Occiam Wireless Earbuds. The prizes will be allocated evenly between eligible students and employees. All participants for this week will be entered to win the one Occiam Wireless Earbuds.
    3. During the third drawing, eligible students and employees who enter may win up to one of forty-four prizes, including: two Handheld Massager, four $50 gift cards, sixteen $25 gift cards, two Miami Sweater, four light therapy lamps, two T6 True Wireless Earbuds, four Miami Swag Bag #1, and ten OIDI Swag Bag #3. The prizes will be allocated evenly between eligible students and employees. All participants for this week will be entered to win one IPX7 Wireless Speaker, one IPX6 wireless speaker, and one light therapy lamp.
    4. During the fourth drawing, eligible students and employees who enter may win up to one of forty-two prizes, including: two $50 gift card, eight $25 gift card, two Occiam Wireless Earbud, four light therapy lamps, two IPX6 Wireless Speaker, four Miami Swag Bag #2, and twenty OIDI Swag Bag #1. The prizes will be allocated evenly between eligible students and employees. All participants for this week will be entered to win one $200 gift card.
    5. During the fifth drawing, eligible students and employees who enter may win up to one of thirty-four prizes, including: six $25 gift cards, two light therapy lamp, two T6 True Wireless Earbuds, two IPX6 Wireless Speaker, two Miami Swag Bag #2, and twenty OIDI Swag Bag #1. The prizes will be allocated evenly between eligible students and employees. All participants for this week will be entered to win one T6 True Wireless Earbuds.
  8. CHOICE OF LAW AND FORUM: Entrant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without giving effect to any of its conflict of laws provisions thereof. Entrant further agrees that any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be brought exclusively in the applicable federal or state courts located in Franklin County, Ohio.
  9. TAXES: Individual, parent or legal guardian of winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes with respect to entire prize.
  10. PRIVACY: Entries into the sweepstakes submitted by Miami University students shall be subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. 1232g et seq. ("FERPA"), except as otherwise provided in these Official Rules and subject to any applicable local, state, or federal laws. Miami University employees that enter into the sweepstakes shall be subject to Ohio's Public Records Act.
  11. WINNERS LIST: For the names of all prize winners, available after March 1, 2023, send a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to the Sponsor address below.
