Deadlines and Dates

Pay attention to dates and deadlines to ensure you don’t miss opportunities for scholarships and admission to competitive programs as well as other important dates for admission, financial aid, and enrollment.

To meet an application deadline, your application must be complete (all required materials received or postmarked by the deadline).

Spring Semester 3 December 1 Rolling January 10

December 1 is the priority deadline 4 to be considered for Miami’s merit scholarships and our most competitive opportunities, such as honors programs (supplemental honors application required), Nursing, and majors within the Farmer School of Business. It is the firm deadline 5 for our most selective merit scholarship, the Presidential Fellows Program (supplemental honors application required). This is also the Priority I deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSAs filed by this date will be among the first financial aid packages available.

Definitions & Footnotes

  1. Binding - Admitted students are contractually obligated to withdraw applications from other institutions and confirm their Miami enrollment.
  2. Non-Binding - Admitted students are not contractually obligated to Miami.
  3. Spring start is not an option for Nursing or programs in the College of Creative Arts.
  4. Priority Deadline - Consideration for scholarships and competitive programs will continue after priority deadlines if funding and/or space remain available.
  5. Firm Deadline - To be considered, students must have a complete application on file by this deadline.

First-Year International Students

The spring 2022 application deadline has been extended to December 15.

Transfer Students

Transfer students should apply as early as possible but no later than posted deadlines.

The spring 2022 application deadline for international students has been extended to December 15.

The spring 2022 application deadline for domestic students has been extended to January 5.
