Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Interpersonal Violence, and Sexual Harassment

The sexual misconduct protocol addresses sexual misconduct complaints arising under the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations (34 C.F.R. Part 106) and complaints arising under Miami University‘s Code of Student Conduct (collectively referred to as Sexual Misconduct violations). It outlines education, prevention, resources, reporting and judicial processes for sexual misconduct offenses. Sexual Misconduct is a broad term that includes sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual exploitation.

Title IX Training Materials

In accordance with §106.45(b)(1)(iii), the training materials for the Miami’s Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and professional staff who facilitate the informal resolution process are available for review.
