Robbyn Turner

 

Robbyn Turner is from Athens, Ohio and completed her bachelor’s in English/creative writing with a minor in psychology at Ohio University. She remained at OU for graduate school, where she earned a master’s degree in communication theory and process.  Her research interests include relational maintenance, business communication, reducing public speaking anxiety, as well as gender and communication.

While living in North Carolina, Turner taught at UNCG, NC State, NC A&T, and Salem College.  In Ohio, she has been on faculty at Miami University, Ohio University, Hocking College, Sinclair College, and AFIT (Air Force Institute of Technology at WPAFB).  She served as the director of career programs in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. Additionally, she has provided consulting services, for 30 years.

Turner is passionate about animal rescue and assists two different Australian Cattle Dog rescue groups in Ohio.  She has two grown children, two “bonus” children, and four grandkids. She is quite happy to be back at “Mother Miami.”
