In Cotton top tamarins: the importance of natural cooperative care behaviors in a managed setting Global Field Program alum and keeper assistant Elizabeth Fochtman shares her research on cotton top tamarins at the Phoenix Zoo. Fochtman found that “cooperative care is an essential part of the behaviors that are required for successful breeding of the species, and helping to maintain a healthy and sustainable population.” Animal Keepers’ Forum is a journal of the American Association of Zoo Keepers.
