Passive bird monitoring gets funded

Global Field Program (GFP) student Kyra Thurow Bartow of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, received a fully-funded grant through Carolina Bird Club to install video and audio monitoring of birds at Agape Center for Environmental Education. This project will focus on passive monitoring of the Eastern Bluebird and Eastern Screech Owl and how it relates to bird disturbance. The Carolina Bird Club is a non-profit organization that represents and supports the birding community in the Carolinas.

Thurow Bartow is earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology from Miami through Project Dragonfly‘s GFP while working as an educator for the Agape Center for Environmental Education.
