Angela Ignarski

Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) graduate student and zookeeper Angela Ignarski of Orland Park, Illinois, was published in Animal Keepers' Forum, a publication of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZA). In "Hand Raising Lorikeets: How Lorikeets Make Amazing Ambassadors" she summarizes her work in caring for lorikeets, a species of parrot known for being very active, vocal, and friendly. Their sweet-natured demeanor makes them great for interacting with the public. Ignarski participates in experiential learning through Brookfield Zoo Chicago.

As a student in Miami's biology department, Ignarski is earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Biology through Project Dragonfly's AIP while working as a seasonal wild encounters keeper at Brookfield Zoo.
