The Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Music Education degree program prepares students for careers in school settings and for future graduate study, through lifelong connections and mentoring. The resulting licensure is for all music, PreK-12.
The Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Performance degree program provides the broad, pre-professional training required for advanced study in music and, ultimately, for entry into the profession. At Miami, performance opportunities abound in solo, chamber, and ensemble settings.
The B.A. in Music degree is designed for all undergraduate students interested in a broad liberal arts experience, complementing a focus in the music discipline. The degree prepares students for careers in music business and music production. The BA includes a core of music classes, business, and emerging technologies. This degree offers a tremendous amount of flexibility and prepares students for careers in the music industry.

The Department offers minors in Instrumental Performance (based on need), Music Composition, Musical Theater, and Arts Management.
