Theatre NYC - Producing and Writing Workshop is an experiential opportunity to learn about producing and writing for nonprofit and commercial NYC theatres. Students will spend 1 week in Oxford preparing for a one-week immersion in New York City theatre. In NYC, the workshop will be based at the Obie award winning Off-Broadway Theatre for a New Audience. Students will have to opportunity to attend seminars with the professionals at this theatre as well as attend shows both On and Off Broadway. Students will learn about producing plays in the nonprofit and commercial context and will write critically about plays that they attend. Courses: CCA 299T or ENG 225

Prerequisites: CCA 299 requires CCA 201 or permission of the instructors; ENG 225 requires ENG 111. All programs require a minimum of a 2.25 cumulative GPA.
