Center for Cybersecurity leadership helps Scouts earn Cybersecurity Merit Badge
Representatives from Miami University's Center for Cybersecurity traveled to the National Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday, December 13 to take part in the Cybersecurity Merit Badge Day. Assistant Professor of Computer Science Honglu Jiang, Professor and Chair of the Computer and Information Technology Department at Miami University Regionals Marianne Murphy, Professor and Director of the Miami University Center for Cybersecurity James Walden, and junior Computer Science major at the College of Engineering and Computing Tyler Stephenson were all on hand to engage with the next generation of future cybersecurity professionals attending the event. In a presentation to the assembled scouts, James Walden shared insights on why cybersecurity matters, attributes of cyber attacks, frameworks for cyber defense, and Miami University's Cybersecurity mission.
