Job Shadow Program

Discover your career path through our Job Shadow Program, a J-Term experience designed to help students explore potential careers and gain real-world perspective. You will:

• Spend time with professionals in your field of interest, observing daily operations and learning about industry expectations.
• Gain firsthand insight into what it’s really like to work in a chosen field, bridging the gap between classroom learning and the work world.
• Build confidence, expand your network, and develop a clearer sense of direction as you prepare for life after Miami.

The immersive program is open to all students who are curious, motivated, and ready to learn through experience. You can even request a particular city, meaning you can job shadow from wherever J-Term takes you.

To participate during the 2026 Winter Term, you must complete our application form by December 14, 2025. We’ll then use your interests and background information to identify a potential employer match and connect you directly with your host organization.
