To honor students receiving the doctoral degree, the Graduate School holds a ceremony celebrating the successful completion of their studies. The hooding ceremony is a special occasion and students are encouraged to invite their friends and family members to the event.

For the August 2021 graduation, Doctoral candidates who complete their degrees by the August 2021 deadlines are invited to participate in the May Hooding Ceremony on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Armstrong Pavilion.

The May 2021 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony was held in person and livestreamed via the Graduate School Youtube channel on May 15, 2021.

The deadline to apply for August graduation was February 28, 2021. If you missed the deadline please email the Commencement Office at commencement@miamioh.edu to be put on the list of August graduates.
