Google "Pending Delete" Reminder
Files that include a "Pending Delete" label have been shared with you by someone whose account will be deleted in the near future. This may include the files of former faculty, staff members, or student employees who you have worked with in the past.
When a “Pending Delete” label is applied to a document, the owner will lose access to their accounts within 45 days of their departure, but you will be able to see and interact with their Google documents (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.) for 180 days after they leave. Learn more about the "Pending Delete" label by reading our article here or checking out our article in our Knowledge Base.
We will start the process of deleting old accounts on September 15, 2025. After this date, we will follow through with removing access to Drive documents 180 days after that person leaves Miami.

Reminder: ShredFest Partnering with ShareFest
This May, ShredFest and ShareFest are combining forces to help the Miami and Oxford communities.
At ShredFest in Middletown and Hamilton, we will have containers where you can drop off your electronic waste and we will bring it to ShareFest for you, and at every ShredFest location, we will have receptacles this year for you to bring in your old household batteries and printer cartridges for proper disposal.
As a reminder, a mobile shredder will visit the regional campuses on Monday, May 12. It will be at Middletown in the parking lot outside of Johnston Hall from 9-11 a.m. and at Hamilton in the parking lot outside Wilks Conference Center from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
The shredder will be on the Oxford campus on Tuesday, May 13, between 12 and 4 p.m. at Cook Field (near Pulley Tower).
For more information on the ShredFest event, please visit MiamiOH.edu/ShredFest or contact: Randy Hollowell (IT Services).
