New IT Help experience coming next week!
New IT Help experience coming next week!
IT Services is excited to announce a new, cleaner IT Chat experience beginning July 1.
The new experience will bring our IT Help support service in line (visually) with the support experience you’re used to seeing on other self-service websites. Beginning July 1, 2025, visiting MiamiOH.edu/ITchat will point to a new webpage within our IT Help portal that will have the same branding as our current Knowledge Base and help website.
At the bottom right of that page, there will be a blue chat bubble, which you can open to initiate a chat session with one of our IT Help advisors. It’s that easy!
This change will take place at 12:01 a.m. on July 1, and there will not be any downtime or loss of service during this change. We’re excited to provide a more streamlined chat experience and hope you enjoy it too!
More changes to IT Help phone lines
In addition to the switch for IT Chat, there are some changes coming to the IT Help phone lines as well.
Our IT Help partners are switching their backend processes in order to create more efficiencies in the way they do things. This means that they will be live with a new bot (based in Amazon Web Services) that will forward your calls to a person. The IT Help experience of calling 513-529-7900 will not change!
In fact, we will be bringing the management of that phone number back under our roof, which means when you call, you may hear some new recording options in the voice of Miami’s own Randy Hollowell.
