New phishing scam: Microsoft Office 365 accounts

The semester is getting ready to start, which means it’s high time for the scammers to start bombarding new and returning students, as well as faculty and staff, with phishing scams.

The latest is about verifying a Microsoft Office 365 account. The email has a link to a Google Form where they are asked to input their username and password. The email appears to urge recipients to react quickly so that they don’t lose access to any accounts.

This is a scam. Do not click links or give your password to anyone. Miami will never ask for your password via email, phone, or text.
