Upcoming maintenance: Google SSO change
Some changes are coming our way for how Google does single sign-on, and the upgrade has been scheduled for Dec. 17, after grades have been submitted and before the university goes into a lull for the holidays.
The new SSO profile in Google will allow us to be more secure and flexible with how we architect our sign-in technologies. It will also help us future-proof our authentication schemas as we continue our IAM journey.
This change will take place on Dec. 17 and will be fully transparent. If you have issues after the fact, please contact IT Help at 513-529-7900.
Reminder: Check our IT Status dashboard
To view planned IT activities and the current status of major systems and services, please visit our dashboard at MiamiOH.edu/ITStatus. It’s especially important to check during holiday weeks, since IT Services tends to conduct more changes when there aren’t so many people on campus (because there is less potential for impact).
IT Holiday Photo Contest Winners
IT Services celebrated the end of the 2025 calendar year last week with fun, food, and friendship with our annual Winterfest Holiday Party. Each year, we host a fun photography contest to encourage all of our teammates—including those who are remote—to share part of their story.
Check out the winning and runner-up photos from this year’s contest!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Winter Break…
With our first big snows of the year behind us now, we’re looking forward to the end of the year and the Winter Break.
Love and honor!
