Miami University is pleased to announce that the annual AI Symposium will return on Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16, 2026. This two-day event, titled “AI in Action,” will showcase the growing landscape of artificial intelligence across Miami, in higher education, and throughout society through interactive sessions, panels, demonstrations, and community conversations.
For 2026, we invite proposal submissions from Miami faculty, staff, and students, as well as external academic collaborators (students and faculty from other universities) whose work aligns with the following topics:
- AI in teaching and learning
- AI in research and creative activity
- AI in business operations and institutional practice
- AI in community and societal impact
Proposal Details
We welcome submissions for:
- 50-minute educational, research, or discussion sessions
- Panels or interactive workshops
- 15-minute lightning round sessions on April 16th
To support flexible program planning, proposers will be asked to indicate availability across both days (April 15–16). A detailed schedule will be finalized after reviewing availability and proposal volume.
