Important Security News: Update your Duo Mobile app by March 31
Due to new internet security activities affecting Duo Security, Miami’s multi-factor authentication partner, older versions of the Duo Mobile app will no longer send push notifications starting March 31, 2026.
Folks who are impacted by this change will be contacted directly by IT Services. You may also begin to see a message when you authenticate via Duo that your app will need to be updated. In order to continue receiving Duo Push notifications, apps will need to be on version 4.85.0 or later.

Again, those folks who are impacted will receive notifications from the Duo Mobile app with reminders to update to version 4.85.0 or later. They will also receive reminders from IT Services as that deadline approaches. (Tip: Turn on automatic updates so this doesn’t affect you!)
If your device is not supported (e.g., you have an older device), please contact IT Help and they can walk you through your other options for authenticating through Duo.
