McGraw Hill Data Breach - Things to Know

You may have heard about a recent data breach involving a limited amount of McGraw Hill data accessed from a Salesforce-hosted webpage. Although we don’t believe any Miami institutional data was part of this breach, it is possible that individuals within the Miami community may interact with McGraw Hill.

It appears some of the information taken from McGraw Hill includes:

  • Names
  • Email addresses
  • Physical addresses
  • Phone numbers

What you can do

The article linked above includes some helpful tips on what to do if you think your account may have been compromised. If you are, or have been, a customer of McGraw Hill, there are some things you can do to help protect yourself.

  • If you have not heard from McGraw Hill directly about your stolen account information, you should go to the McGraw Hill website and change your password immediately.
  • If you have used the McGraw Hill password for other sites you use, please change the password on those sites ASAP.
  • Turn on multifactor authentication where it is offered.
  • Check your recovery email and recovery phone on your primary inbox account.
  • Heavily review all incoming messages from McGraw Hill.
