Meet the Staff
Alex Fields, Director
Alex Fields earned her Associate of Arts from Valencia College, Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky.
Prior to joining the Community Standards team at Miami University, Fields served in a variety of roles across student accountability and residential living at Western Carolina University, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Kentucky.
Outside of work, Fields is a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership program at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her research focuses on appreciative approaches to student accountability. In her spare time, Fields enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and serving the community as a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Chase Stockton, Associate Director
Chase Stockton, Ed.D., joined Miami University in July 2026 as the Associate Director of Community Standards. He is passionate about helping students navigate challenges, learn from their experiences, and grow into responsible members of the community.
Before coming to Miami, Chase served as Director of Member Safety and Accountability for Phi Sigma Kappa International Headquarters, conducting investigations with chapters across the country. He also previously worked as the Student Conduct Manager at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he was the primary adjudicator of individual and organizational conduct processes.
Chase earned his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas. His dissertation, "Student Conduct as Leadership Education: A Qualitative Exploration of Fraternity Presidents' Experiences and Development,” explores the intersection of the student conduct process and leadership development experiences. He also holds a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, along with a certification in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from Missouri State University. Outside of work, Chase enjoys spending time with his Golden Retriever, Lincoln, reading, golfing, and trying new foods.
Kesha Hilson, Assistant Director
Hilson joined Miami as the Community Standards Coordinator in May 2022. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. Hilson is a 2001 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education here at Miami University. She comes to Miami with over 12 years’ experience in family case management and client-based services.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and listening to a variety of podcasts.
Bonnie Crabtree, Administrative Assistant
Crabtree joined the Office of Community Standards in June 2024. Prior to that she was an administrative assistant for Miami's Family Science and Social Work Department for seven years. She came to Miami in 1993 and has held many roles throughout those years, giving her broad knowledge of Miami's policies and processes that serve our department well.
In her spare time, Crabtree enjoys spending time with her very large family, and her little dog, Millie.
