Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Interpersonal Violence, and Sexual Harassment
The sexual misconduct protocol addresses sexual misconduct complaints arising under the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations (34 C.F.R. Part 106) and complaints arising under Miami University‘s Code of Student Conduct (collectively referred to as Sexual Misconduct violations). It outlines education, prevention, resources, reporting, and judicial processes for sexual misconduct offenses. Sexual Misconduct is a broad term that includes sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual exploitation.
