Partner Organization Scholarships

Miami University offers scholarships to eligible students who are connected to the following organizations. Funding is limited. Scholarship funds may not be available for all eligible students who meet the stated qualifications.

Cincinnati Scholars Program

Miami partners with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to offer the Cincinnati Scholars Program.

Eligibility and Application Process

Scholarship Amount

This scholarship covers the full estimated Cost of Attendance for your cohort, which may differ from your actual bill, minus your Student Aid Index (SAI) and a $3,500 student contribution. This support comes from a combination of institutional, federal, and state funds.

Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation

Eligibility and Application Process

Scholarship Amount

Miami will award $2,500 to each admitted recipient of the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation Scholarship.

Renewal Requirements

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters). To remain eligible, you must:

  • Complete the FAFSA each year and demonstrate financial aid
  • Maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain full-time enrollment on the Oxford campus

College Now Greater Cleveland

Eligibility

Scholarship Amount

Miami will award $2,500 to each eligible recipient of the College Now Greater Cleveland Scholarship.

Dayton-Montgomery County Scholarship Program

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to Miami’s Oxford campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
  • Receive the Dayton-Montgomery County Scholarship
  • Have a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher 
  • Be a resident of Montgomery County

Scholarship Amount

  • $1,000 per year for the first and second years
  • $1,500 per year for the third and fourth years

D.C. Tuition Miami Match Scholarship

Eligibility and Application Process

Scholarship Amount 

Miami awards $5,000 per year in addition to the D.C. Tuition Assistance Grant.

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters). To remain eligible, you must:

  • Continue to meet DCTAG eligibility requirements
  • Maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain full-time enrollment at Miami

Evans Scholars Program

The Evans Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for high-achieving caddies with limited financial means.

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to Miami’s Oxford campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
  • Must have caddied regularly and successfully for at least two years
    • Must also caddie at their sponsoring club during the application year
  • Must have completed junior year of high school with a B average or better in college preparatory courses

High school seniors or college freshmen who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for this scholarship. To apply:

  • August 1: Application opens online: applications@wgaesf.org
  • By October 1:
  • By October 15: Submit your full application including:
    • CSS Profile
    • High School and Caddie Evaluations
    • Recommendation Letters
    • Transcript
    • Test Scores (Optional)
  • After October 15: Finalists are interviewed
  • April 1: Scholarship decisions are announced

Scholarship Amount

The Evans Scholarship provides funding to cover tuition and mandatory fees. Students can also live on campus in the Evans House. Note that:

  • If an Evans Scholar receives other gift aid, part of that aid (depending on the source) may be used for educational expenses not covered by the Evans Scholarship
  • Any remaining balance from other gift aid will be applied toward tuition and fees, reducing the Evans Scholarship award

Renewal Requirements

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters). To remain eligible, you must:

  • Complete the FAFSA and CCSS Profile each year
    • Also apply each year for all available federal, state, and university financial aid, as well as private scholarships, you qualify for
  • Maintain good academic standing and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Live in Evans Scholars Housing (if available)
  • Follow all program rules and community responsibilities

I Know I Can Founders Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded through a partnership between Miami and I Know Can, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students from Central Ohio pursue higher education. The scholarship provides financial support for up to five eligible students who attend Miami.

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to Miami’s Oxford campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA by Miami’s priority deadline 
  • Receive the I Know I Can Founders Scholarship
  • Graduate from an eligible Central Ohio high school served by I Know I Can

The scholarship covers the cost of tuition.

Montgomery County College Promise Scholarship Program

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to a Miami campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need (be Pell Grant eligible)
  • Participate in the Montgomery County Ohio College Promise Program while in high school
  • Be a resident of Montgomery County, Ohio
  • Funding is coordinated automatically once program eligibility is verified

Scholarship Amount

Using a combination of institutional, federal, and state funds, Miami provides funding to cover the remaining costs after the student’s self-help contribution. Covered expenses include:

  • In-state tuition and general fees
  • Career development fee
  • Business or engineering course fees
  • On-campus housing (double standard room)
  • Meals (Diplomat Standard Meal Plan)
  • Books

The student’s self-help contribution may be covered by federal or private loans, outside scholarships, 529 College Savings Plans, payment plans, or check.

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters). To remain eligible, you must:

  • Complete the FAFSA each year and demonstrate financial aid (be Pell Grant eligible)
  • Maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Maintain full-time enrollment at Miami

Say Yes Cleveland

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to a Miami campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
  • Live in and attend school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), or at an eligible charter school, from ninth grade through graduation
  • Receive the Say Yes Cleveland Scholarship 

Scholarship Amount

This scholarship helps cover tuition and mandatory fees that aren’t already paid by federal or state grants.

  • If your parent(s)’ income (AGI) is $75,000 or less, the scholarship covers the full remaining cost of tuition and mandatory fees
  • If your parent(s)’ income is over $75,000, the scholarship can provide up to $5,000 per year toward tuition and fees

Scioto County Area Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded through a partnership between Miami and the Scioto Foundation to support students from Scioto County, Ohio. The scholarship helps make a Miami education more affordable by providing additional financial assistance to eligible students.

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to Miami’s Oxford campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Graduate from a Scioto County, Ohio high school

Scholarship Amount

Typically, students who complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need receive $5,000. Students who do not demonstrate financial need receive $2,000.

TEACh Cincinnati Program

Miami partners with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to support the TEACh (Transformative Educators Advocating Change) Cincinnati Program. TEACh Cincinnati is a grow-your-own-teacher pipeline that supports students from high school through college and into the teaching profession to help address regional teacher shortages.

Eligibility and Application Process

  • Apply and be admitted to a Miami campus
  • Enroll full-time as a first-time undergraduate student
  • Complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
  • Attend a participating CPS high school
  • Apply to program through high school’s TEACh Cincinnati Liaison teacher/counselor
  • Participate in TEACh programming and related opportunities, including the Bridges Program and the Summer Scholars Program

Scholarship Amount

Award amounts vary and are administered through Miami’s financial aid process. They may support tuition, housing and food, and educational experiences.

Note: TEACh Cincinnati is separate from the federal TEACH Grant program. Students who qualify for the TEACH Grant are encouraged to apply.

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years (eight semesters). To remain eligible, you must: 

  • Participate in TEACh programming and mentoring
  • Complete the FAFSA each year
  • Maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain full-time enrollment on the Oxford campus
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Scholarship Adjustments

Scholarships covering tuition and fees may be reduced if you receive additional aid that covers the same charges or if your total funding exceeds your cost of attendance. This includes resources such as the Miami University Staff/Family Fee Waiver, Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG), War Orphans Scholarship, Post-9/11 G.I. Bill, Ohio National Guard benefits, ROTC awards, Miami Access Fellows, and others. In these cases, your scholarship may be adjusted to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional funding guidelines.
