Danielle Roe
Position: Head Coach
Danielle Roe brings over a decade of coaching experience and a standout playing
career at the high school, junior college, and NCAA DII levels to the helm of Miami
University Hamilton Women's Basketball.
In her first season leading the Harriers, Roe guided MUH to a 15-8 record while playing
the #3 ranked toughest schedule in the USCAA, a Top 5 national ranking in all 12 poll
weeks, and a 3-seed in the USCAA Division II National Championship Tournament. The
Harriers defeated Penn State Beaver 71-66 in the Elite 8, then upset #2 seed Maine-
Augusta 81-66 to punch their ticket to Championship Saturday, where they earned a
National Runner-Up finish — their second consecutive championship game
appearance. The program produced three All-Americans, one Academic All-American,
two All-Tournament selections, and maintained a 3.3 team GPA.
Prior to MUH, Roe revitalized Harvest Prep’s program before serving as Assistant
Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Sinclair College (NJCAA), helping lead the Tartans
to a historic 28-6 season and an NJCAA DII Elite 8 appearance. She later guided
Springfield Catholic Central to a league title and 25 wins over two seasons, and spent
five years as Program Director for a grassroots girls basketball organization across
Ohio.
A Springfield South (Springfield, OH) and Sinclair College alum, Roe is a 1,000-point
scorer at both the high school and college levels and one of the few to win conference
titles at Sinclair as both a player and coach. She holds a B.S. in Communication Arts
from Kentucky Wesleyan College and is the owner of Coach Roe Consulting LLC.
Danielle believes that creating championship experiences in all aspects of life
is what has set her apart in this profession.
Deidra Brown-Banks
Position: Assistant Coach
Deidra Brown-Banks joins Miami University - Hamilton with nearly a decade of coaching experience and a former standout collegiate playing career. Brown-Banks join Danielle Roe's staff as a Middletown, Ohio native, coaching at both the high school and AAU levels, including critical roles at Middletown High School, Lakota East, and Jr. EYBL SCA, where she's helped players grow on and off the court while gaining college exposure.
A student-athlete and graduate of Wilberforce University, "Coach D" was an known for her toughness, versatility, and leadership. She holds a B.A. in Rehabilitation from
Wilberforce University and brings a strong foundation in player development,
structure, and mentorship. Coach D is passionate about building confident, disciplined athletes and using the game to prepare them for life beyond the court.
