Faculty Advising

Your academic advisor is a valuable partner throughout your education. Once admitted to a program, you’ll be assigned a department advisor who can help you understand degree requirements, review your academic progress, plan upcoming semesters, and stay on track toward graduation and your career goals. Students are encouraged to review their degree progress at least once each semester and connect regularly with their advisor for guidance and support.

NSF S-STEM Scholarship

The National Science Foundation’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or S-STEM program helps academically talented students with financial need pursue degrees and successful careers in promising STEM fields. In addition to scholarship support, the program is designed to strengthen student success through academic and career pathways, retention, transfer, and graduation support.

Eligible students can use scholarship funding to pursue STEM degrees ranging from the associate level through bachelor’s and graduate programs.

Amount: Up to $5,000 per year for associate and bachelor’s degrees and up to $9,000 per year for master’s degrees
