Post Award Services

Post Award Services manages the centralized administrative, business, and financial functions for post-award grant and contract administration. Post Award Services supports faculty, principal investigators, and departmental administrators in effectively managing sponsored projects. The office ensures compliance with Miami University's academic and research policies while upholding the financial stewardship and reporting requirements of external sponsors. Upon award, the designated Post Award Services staff accountant will meet with the PI to discuss questions about grant award management.

Award Fiscal Management

The principal investigator(s) exercise primary responsibility for oversight of the project budget. While the University serves as the fiscal manager of each award, direct responsibility for project management rests with the principal investigator. The following pages provide guidance for faculty and staff on effectively managing and administering sponsored awards in compliance with university and sponsor requirements.
