University Communications and Marketing provides marketing and communications services to the university community. If you are seeking our support, please review our project intake process below and submit your request.
UCM uses a sprint-based system for new work. Be mindful of open and paused request periods for each sprint. Projects must have a due date at least two months from the start of the request period to allow for planning and execution. You can submit requests during a pause, but they won’t be reviewed until the next sprint.

The Regionals Marketing team will not accept any new project requests from May 1 through August 1, 2026, so that all communication can pivot fully to our Polytechnic branding. The Regionals team will continue to review intake requests through April 23. After our Polytechnic brand is launched, we will continue with normal intake sprint schedules.
If you are seeking UCM’s support, submit a project request so that your request will enter our queue to be reviewed. A project request should be submitted for all projects; please do not email UCM members individually. This may delay your request being reviewed.
UCM accepts project requests during four sprints throughout the year. Refer to the Project Intake Submission Timeline for more details.
Use our project request form. Have this information prepared for your submission:
During each sprint, we will review all requests that are submitted through the project request form on Mondays. Projects submitted after Monday afternoon will be reviewed the following week. Before accepting a request, we will review each submission to see if it aligns with the University’s strategic priorities and if UCM has the available resources/time to help with the request.
Once UCM has reviewed your request, we will determine one of the following outcomes:
UCM will reach out to you to let you know your project has been approved and work with you on kicking off the project, as needed.
UCM isn’t able to make a decision on your request and needs more information. We will connect with the appropriate parties to gather more information before making a final decision.
UCM is unable to assist with the project, but we can provide some additional resources to help you complete the project on your own. Projects could be denied for the following reasons:
