Students pursuing the following majors are required to submit a portfolio and/or schedule an audition by the admission application deadline: architecture, interior design, art, art education, graphic design, music, music education, music performance, and theatre. For more information, please see the specific admission requirements for each major or contact the College of Creative Arts at 513-529-6010.
Students wishing to major in business must apply for direct admission into the Farmer School of Business (FSB). No separate application is required, but students must indicate business as their intended major on the admission application. Students with questions regarding FSB direct admission are encouraged to speak with their admission counselor.
To apply for all need-based financial aid, including grants, select scholarships, loans, and the federal work study program, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For priority financial aid consideration, you must submit the FAFSA between January 1 and February 15. (Miami's institutional code is 003077.) Accepted students who file a FAFSA by February 15 will be notified of their financial aid package in late March. The distribution of all merit-based scholarships is based on applications for admission. Priority consideration for the full amount in the scholarship ranges will be given to students applying for admission by December 1. For a list of Miami's merit awards, see University Merit Scholarships.
