Experience a stunning array of objects from across the ages and around the globe at the Miami University Art Museum. 

The Miami University Art Museum boasts a collection of approximately over 17,000 works, many of which are regularly available to the public through exhibition display in one or more of the Museum’s five gallery spaces.

Collections range from art historical treasures such as works on paper by Rembrandt van Rijn and David Hockney, paintings by Sir John Everett Millais and Hans Hofmann, sculpture by Hiram Powers and Louise Nevelson, as well as artifacts from the ancient world, ceramics, and textiles.

This exceptionally broad and eclectic collection boasts strengths in such things as twentieth-century American prints, “op art” paintings, and Hopi pottery, as well as the Charles M. Messer Leica Camera Collection, the most comprehensive privately assembled gathering of Leica cameras in the country, and one of the largest in the world.

In addition, the Miami University Art Museum collections include public sculpture, objects housed in the William Holmes McGuffey Museum, and works on display in public spaces located throughout the Oxford campus.
