The functions of the Council for Undergraduate Curriculum are to review, in light of established academic policies of the University, all changes in curricula, degree requirements, and new majors and new degrees proposed by academic divisions and forwarded to University Senate by the academic deans, and to recommend to University Senate the approval or rejection of those changes. The Council for Undergraduate Curriculum, along with the Academic Policy Committee, shall advise the Provost on criteria for the establishment of new majors and new degrees. The process for elimination of programs and degrees is specified in Senate Resolution SR 14-01 (attached as Appendix A to the Bylaws of University Senate). The Committee shall report regularly to Senate.
