Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies

Russian is one of the ten most widely spoken languages in the world. The REEES Major and Russian Minor allow you to become one of the 110 million people who speak Russian as a second language. Learn about careers and opportunities with a degree in Russian Studies. For more in-depth information about the major, visit the Russian Webpage or contact the Chief Departmental Advisor, Dr. Benjamin Sutcliffe.

The REEES program at Miami allows you to explore in-depth one of the most important regions in the world. Majoring in REEES or minoring in Russian opens up many career paths. Our recent graduates have gone on to top M.A. and Ph.D. programs, worked for the Peace Corps, received prestigious fellowships, and landed positions in a variety of fields.
