How did you get your internship?
I saw an entrepreneurship professor’s LinkedIn post about an event in Cleveland, so I reached out to him, and he invited me to come. So I got there, and I started talking to a bunch of different people. There was a Miami University alum who had just left her position working for Silicon Valley Accountants, and she introduced me to my now boss, and that's kind of how that happened.
What do you want to do when you graduate?
I want to go into consulting or something that’s advisory-adjacent, which is where businesses come to you with problems, and then you help them work the problems out. I worked as a consultant for the past two years, so I know that I like that, and I think that's really interesting.
What’s your favorite Miami experience outside the classroom?
Freshman year, my friend texted me, and he asked, ‘What are you doing this weekend? I'm part of the Governmental Relations Network living-learning community, and they're going to the State House to talk to legislators about Miami. Do you want to do that?’ So I drove a minivan with a bunch of people I had never met to Columbus, and I talked to a bunch of legislators and staff for legislators, and that's something I never thought I could say I've done.
