Being an actor has helped me dramatically with my coursework in all my Entrepreneurship courses, especially the First-Year Integrated Core. I feel like my creative muscles have been trained well, and I've been able to translate that into the work for my courses and the case competitions that I do in my classes.

What led you to choose Miami?

I think what really sold it for me was the ability to have communities within a community. I think that FSB is a great bubble where you have powerful student organizations and chances to become so involved. It was the vibes and the community and the great culture that Oxford and the Farmer School has to offer.

What’s your favorite experience inside the classroom so far?

Being an undergraduate assistant for ESP 103 and Professor Jim Johnson. He was my greatest mentor, and being able to spend so much time with him, I decided I wanted to be his UA. Being able to foster my relationship with him and being able to serve as a mentor to other students was really exciting. Being able to build connections with so many really smart first-year students has been a real privilege for me.

What would you tell a high school student considering coming to Miami?

In Farmer, you have the privilege to surround yourself with so many smart people. The resources that we have in Farmer are truly unmatched, and the coursework is all very hands-on. Those experiences have helped me so much at work, in my student organizations, and in every project that I've ever taken on.
