Who is your favorite professor?

Tom Mobley, even though I've never had him as a professor. He works very closely with the SHRM chapter, and he contributes a lot of his time and his energy towards helping us. He wants to see all students succeed, whether he has them in class or not. And he really pushes me to become a better student in HR and always go for HR opportunities.

What’s your favorite experience outside the classroom so far?

I studied abroad in Luxembourg this past semester and traveled to 15 different countries. Experiencing varying perspectives and cultural differences truly opened my eyes as to how much opportunity is out there in the world. Every place I visited broadened my understanding of the world and helped me grow in ways I never expected. If you ever have the opportunity and time to travel, take it. Do it now! There's no better time to explore.

What have you done that’s had the most impact on your growth at the Farmer School?

Being a tour guide at FSB. Before I did that, I was an extremely nervous public speaker, and I was very unsure of myself, and I stuttered a lot. I've been a tour guide for over two years now, and I can really see my growth in public speaking and my confidence. It’s been amazing to see how much you really can grow during your time here at the Farmer School of Business.
