Life at the Arctic Circle In this cultural immersion workshop, students will travel to Greenland, including the capital Nuuk, as well as Iceland and its capital, Reykjavik. We will explore the local cultures by experiencing and learning about aspects of their environment that help shape their lives, such as glaciers, volcanoes, and geothermal energy. We will also learn about their religion, the role of the family, equality, and other aspects of their way of life. KNH 402 or KNH 487 (3 credits)
Sport, Management, and Culture in the Global Marketplace: Barcelona and Madrid The Sport, Management, and Culture in the Global Marketplace study abroad program is designed for students who are interested in exploring relationship between sport, culture, and the contemporary global economy through experiential learning. During spring break, students will travel to Barcelona and Madrid from March 19-March 30, 2026 to examine the management, marketing, and economics of sport in Spanish culture and society. While in Spain, students are fully immersed in the global and local complexities, cultures, and social relations of the Spanish sport industry. SLM 246 (3 credits)
