May the Fourth be with you! Here are this week’s reminders and announcements.

Make it so: The Next Generation Data Architecture is coming to Miami

IT Services is boldly embarking on a journey to modernize Miami’s data and analytics infrastructure, and we are inviting you to join us.

As of May 1, 2026, we are launching a new project: The Next Generation Data Architecture. The reason for this project is twofold: Miami needs to remove dependencies on Oracle products, including Oracle Analytic Services (OAS); and we also want to lay the foundation to support a data strategy that will help the institution rise to the challenges of the current economic and academic landscape.

Informational: McGraw Hill Data Breach - Things to Know

You may have heard about a recent data breach involving a limited amount of McGraw Hill data accessed from a Salesforce-hosted webpage. Although we don’t believe any Miami institutional data was part of this breach, it is possible that individuals within the Miami community may interact with McGraw Hill.

Read more about the breach and what you can do to safeguard your data.
