Reflection
My time at Miami was instrumental in shaping my career and personal growth. I did not go to Miami with any intention of pursuing economics, finance, or even anything in the business school. As part of the Miami Plan’s broad requirements, I found myself in Professor Chuck Moul’s Economics 201, which I learned was a business school “weed out” class, but his engaging approach to economic principles (reading Dr. Suess and watching Jeopardy! fails) sparked my interest and ultimately led me to choose economics as my major. Beyond the classroom, the supportive environment and strong sense of community provided opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that I use every day in my career. I’m grateful for the experiences and mentorship I received and look forward to giving back by supporting the next generation of students.
