Carlton is the Co-Head of Fixed Income for Chevy Chase Trust. He is responsible for overall fixed income strategy and macroeconomics for the firm. Upon returning to Chevy Chase Trust, he was a portfolio manager and fixed income trader.
He was also an institutional fixed income trader at Liberty Mutual Investments in Boston, focusing primarily on municipals, credit, and interest rates, and an Assistant Vice President at Chevy Chase Trust. He began his career at T.Rowe Price in Baltimore. Carlton holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Finance from Miami University. Carlton is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Society of Washington D.C.
